As an experienced graphic designer I’ve explored a broad range of the design spectrum from traditional print design, motion design, UI/UX design, production design, photography, and retouching. This holistic approach enables me to bring an integrated mindset to all the projects I work on. It gives me insights into how all these different elements can work together most effectively, most efficiently and aids me in directing and leading all members of a team to produce their best work.
In my last full-time role, I was involved in several UI/UX projects with a particular focus on developing brand identities, creating and maintaining many design libraries and complex components within Figma as well as marketing materials, websites and online advertising for a wide range of clients and industries.
I also mentored colleagues in Figma through regularly scheduled classes.
I continue to engage with UI/UX through courses with the Interactive Design Foundation and RGD Canada.
I have worked as a professional retoucher and production designer for more than 15 years. I’ve worked in most sectors from automotive, retail, telecommunications, and beauty to food. I have experience in the complete gamut of retouching from photo resizing, colour correction and grading to complex image composition. As I production designer I have extensive experience in print and digital and have worked in studio management roles.
